Youth Sewing Program

Sew Vac City's Youth Sewing Program is designed to teach children 8 to 18 years of age the joy of sewing. During the year we learn different skills while making fun projects. Some of the projects we have done in the past year were leggings, shirts, pillows with ruffles and quilts. During the year we also give the young sewers the chance to work with Project Linus to donate quilts and blankets to children who are hospitalized. The young sewers learn a skill that will benefit them for the rest of their lives while having fun and expanding their creativity.

This series is a year long set of classes to take you through Mastering I thru IV. We have broken in up into manageable pieces so that you can understand and truly master these skills. V9 is HERE!! But V8 will still be covered! It is a 4 hour class each month. When adding this to your cart it only pays for one session, as each session is $40.00

Digitizing Club

Accuquilt Club

Join us for a fun way to learn how to use the Accuquilt GO system. This is a Progressive Block Program.You will attend each month and complete a quilt! Learning how to use the cube and master techniques with your sewing!

Embroidery basics is a great class if you are new to embroidery or want to get more comfortable with your skills. In this class, you will learn about different embroidery tools and what they are most commonly used for. You will also learn about the different types of stabilizers and which to choose for your project. All techniques will be demonstrated hands-on! This is a make and take class. Together we will make a zipper bag using all the new skills you have learned. Don?t worry though, the machine does most of the work! Skills you will be learning are: perfect placement and how to achieve it, installing a zipper, basic embroidery hooping, floating, and applique! Those are all big words, so we will break them down to make sure you understand the differences!

Edge-to-Edge quilting entails a single design that covers the entire quilt top. An edge-to-edge design can be very intricate and spans the entire width of your quilt, but it repeats the same design for each row. This class will teach you how to achieve this look on your embroidery machine vs using a longarm quilter! You will be learning how to get the proper placement in your hoop, special hooping, and learn the advantages of using your embroidery machine to do edge-to-edge.

Longarm Certification
