Summer Camp 2023 - (8-10 years old)
This summer is the perfect time for S’MORE learning….Our summer Kids Camp theme this year
is CAMPING! Our summer camp is broken up into two different age groups to ensure that your
child gets the best learning environment possible.
This is a beginner level sewing camp, and students will learn how to: sew straight lines, finish seams, make bags, basic quilting skills, apparel, and how to hem. Our 8 -10 year old group will be learning basic quilting for their Quillow, and will also make a First Aid Kit/Travel Pack, shorts, and an optional fabric bowl.
Camp tuition includes a Janome Mechanical Sewing Machine that is user friendly, and easy to
maintain. We do require all our students to have this machine to make teaching as a group a
breeze and fun experience.
Day one they will be learning the sewing machine basics such as;
threading, winding a bobbin, and will move into sewing once they have mastered the other
skills!
