Skill Details:
Instructor: Candis Kennard
Instructor Bio: Candis (Candy) Kennard is a born and bred Texan. She recently moved from Alabama to her new home between Anderson and Richards, TX. She began her quilting career about 12 years ago. It is a convoluted story that she is willing to share if you ask her….lol. Prior to getting into the quilting business, Candy taught sciences in secondary schools and worked for government contractors as a subcontract manager. Since she loved to teach, it is no wonder that she was a successful teacher in Northern Alabama where she lived. She is working to ensure that this success will continue here in Texas. In addition to teaching quilting, Candy has developed some of her own patterns. She has sold various quilts and makes a quilt each year to sell at her family reunion auction. Last year, and for several more years to come, her reunion quilts are being constructed from blocks her grandmother made.
